This anime was presented as an enemies-to-lovers story, but from episode one, the two leads were already on good , just stuck on opposite sides of their jobs. The romantic tension was strong, and the way the lieutenant struggled to keep his cool around her was genuinely funny. Their chemistry? Easily an 8/10.
Unfortunately, the story doesn’t progress much. Each episode feels the same, and the side content without the main duo just didn’t hit. I found myself wishing for more growth, both in the characters and the plot.
After learning the author ed away and this adaptation was made in their honor, I understand why the story feels incomplete. It’s not perfect, but it’s a heartfelt tribute with moments that shine.
The art style is beautiful, and everything was a bit dreamy.
