The story lacked depth and felt quite superficial to me. I can't say I didn’t see any character development, but the narrative and its foundation were very weak. A character who just killed someone 10 minutes ago while having sex saying “I love you” to someone they hate 10 minutes later—I'm not sure how much that counts as character development, but it didn’t feel believable. I didn’t like how the show portrayed people as so narrow-minded and diabolical. Only the families of the main characters seemed like good people. The feeling that the entire world was at war against ten people took me away from the reality of the story and distanced me from the show. Moreover, the typical unnecessary sexuality and sexism in Netflix productions bothered me. Honestly, the sexual hunger of the demons didn’t convey any message or connect to anything; it was just a completely pointless narrative choice.
