Preliminary (8/12 eps)
Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2 starts with familiar charm, but quickly spirals into a downward slope of awkward humor and recycled plotlines. While the first season had moments of quiet sweetness and oddball comedy that felt fresh, the second feels like a cringefest that doesn't know when to quit.

The jokes, once quirky and subtle, are now loud, unfunny, and painfully repetitive. Each episode tries to recreate the same dynamic without offering anything new—just variations of the same tired gags. The main duo’s chemistry feels forced, with punchlines falling flat far more often than they land.

Side characters, introduced to add variety, contribute little beyond filler. Their arcs are shallow, their interactions pointless. Instead of expanding the world, they clutter it.

There’s a sense that the writers are stretching every scene to fill time rather than developing meaningful content. What was once endearing is now exhausting, and by the midpoint of the season, it’s hard to care where the story goes next.
