I don't even know where to start. As much as I sometimes like it when an adaptation diverges from the original source material, this case is ridiculous. Yes, let's take the most serious and traumatized character in the entire franchise and turn him into a cowardly idiot who screams and cries all the time and constantly needs a child's help to get himself together, yes THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!!
I just wonder how the guy who drew and wrote this can sleep at night. I looked at the other chapters and everything keeps getting worse. The excuse that this manga was published in a children's magazine ... is nonsense, there are many series in these magazines that can be compared to normal shounens. And some that even cover more serious and adult themes, like Ou Dorobou Jing and Rockman X by Yoshihiro Iwamoto.
Don't waste your time with this. The franchise's four 0:15 seconds commercials are more fun than that, just play the games and ignore this thing.

At the same time that Megaman Legends is the most original series in the Megaman franchise, it's also the one with the most wasted potential.
I don't have much to say about this manga, it's a fun 4koma for those who played the 2nd game. There are a lot of fun and dirty jokes here, but there are also other jokes that reference events and secrets in the game that made me laugh. It's not bad, far from it, I just think Megaman Legends deserves more than that, you know? An action-adventure manga about the events of both games and The Misadventure of Tron Bonne would ... be very welcome. Or even better, a prologue to the 3rd game...!! (...) Seriously, I will never forgive Capcom for canceling it...
(edit) Well, at least I can safely say that this manga is much better and more fun than that atrocity they did with the Megaman Zero manga adaptation.

I have no words to describe how much I love this manga and its sequel. Reading King of Bandits Jing for me was like having a dream with my eyes open. It's not a revolutionary or deconstructed series, nope, it's an episodic adventure shonen with an cool headed protagonist and his womanizing partner. Don't like shonen? Fear nothing, cuz the sequel is seinen (but nothing really change at all lol). Simple, but cool. It's awesome, actualy.
We follow the adventures of Jing and his albatross partner, Kir, who together form a pair of thieves who can steal absolutely anything you can imagine. In each new journey ... we are introduced to a new "Jing Girl" who will be the protagonist's romantic partner, or his rival (it could end up being both). We also have the antagonists who are usually greedy tyrants, or in some cases, just some powerful people traumatized by past events who now want to solve things their own ways.
Even though Jing achieves great things at the end of each arc, he shows us that a true treasure can be a mother's hug or smile, the freedom to move on with our lives without worrying about the age of time, the simplicity of a mortal life, or the memories of a childhood and an old love that are left behind. Jing, despite being a renowned criminal, remains a good-hearted boy who is always willing to help anyone in need, and depending on the situation, even the villain who is after his head. And that's it, King of Bandits Jing!
Yuichi Kumakura's world-building is simply beautiful, stunning, something 100% creative and original. And the way the author plays with surrealism is great. The fact that he simply doesn't mind trying to explain everything about the series' universe makes it even more cooler and interesting. I discovered the series by pure chance in 2012 while wandering around the internet and what won me over was the author's artistic style, which is something unique. In the first chapters we have a typical manga from the 90s, but from 4th volume onwards we can notice an incredible evolution in its drawings, varying between the most diverse styles. And a curious fact is that some of the colored pages are actually illustrations painted on canvas by him!
So, do I recommend King of Bandits Jing? Absolutely yes. It's in my top 3 favorite manga and I love this series so much that I bought the artbook and even all the volumes in Japanese. The anime could be better, but it's still very good. Not to mention the OVA which is simply wonderful. Give this series a shot, I'm sure you will enjoy it!
All that glitters (even the stars), all things precious (even your life), the King of Bandits can steal it all (in an blink of an eye).

Trigun Stampede is a retelling/reboot of the original story (manga) and has nothing to do with the old anime, it's something completely new. A new beginning.
As there are only three episodes out so far, I don't have much to say about this adaptation yet, but I'm enjoying it! I liked the first episode, the second could be better (the battle against the Nebraska's is much cooler in the manga and in the first anime...), but the third one was AWESOME. Knives really needed to be treated as a menance from the beginnig, and not show up only during flashbacks or in the LAST episode.
When the ... first trailer was announced, I didn't liked Vash's redesign... but then I got used to it and now the only thing that still bothers me is his left arm (like, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?). Roberto De Niro was also a surprise. He's a good character and I don't see him as a "replacement" for Milly Thompson for now. Meryl still can't be treated like a veteran in her profession, so it makes sense for her to start this journey with someone like him. Perhaps they are preparing something interesting for us as the story unfolds.
Btw many nostalgic people will criticize this new anime for the dumbest possible reasons and PLEASE don't be like that, the old anime still there. I also don't blame people for problematizing CGI animation like that, but this is already starting to get out of hand, since Orange is doing a fantastic job. The animation is gorgeous, smoth and colorful. The ost is also GREAT! I love Tsuneo Imahori music in the old anime, wich suits perfectly with the series, but Tatsuya Katou is doing a amazing job here too!
For now I'll give it a 8,0/10. I LOVE TRIGUN and can't wait for the next episodes.
