Monthly Comp Ace in April 2016. Kadokawa released the 21st volume on May 26.

A sequel anime film opened in Japan in February 2019, grossing over 420 million yen (approximately US$ 3.8 million).

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English in April 2017 and published the eighth light novel volume on June 8.

"There are plenty of meetings between the directors and writers to get the script to the best that it can be.
I attended some of these meetings before, and if you would like to see how they work, I recommend checking out my documentary on the making of Tanya the Evil season 2 coming out in 2026."

I really hope he was referring to next season of the anime AND his documentary. While the anime has been delayed and it wouldn't be a surprise if it would come in 2026, watching the clip (starting from 2:30), I can only definitely say what he said was a reference regarding his documentary.

If anyone knows more regarding Dong Chang, other social media / news regarding Nut Animation Studio's works in the pipeline, or more info regarding Dondon Animation Tech, maybe some more info could be gleaned.

For Nut, Specifically shows (along with dates) that they have confirmed to be working on but have not yet been released, shows that were announced AFTER Tanya season 2 that haven't aired yet etc. I read in a different thread somewhere on MAL a bit regarding Covid and that season 2 could be in "Production Hell" but there was nothing more specific as to what that entailed.

「幼女戦記」13巻が8月30日発売！ TVアニメ第2期も制作進行中
カルロ・ゼン氏「校了なう」

Which to my google translate knowledge means
"The second season of the TV anime is also in the works."

Also a KADOKAWA released a version of the light novel vol 13 that also had the cover.

Jpbookstore & Play-asia show a version of the image with the S2 reference as well.

Kadokawa is desperately trying to capitalize on his works that have had some success: Overlord, Youjo Senki, Shield Hero, SAO, among others.

Apparently, they are feeling the brunt of the success of Shueisha's source material adaptations.

While I disliked the fact that the character had to be so stupidly young, I feel her body would break from much of what she goes through, and of course the reason behind that being, well Japan, always makes me uncomfortable, beyond that I really had fun with the show, a non entirely stupid war anime is something I crave for so I'm eagerly looking for a second season.

I enjoyed the first season. Tanya was extremely brutal. But not towards Viktoriya. I like the Yuri vibes between them. Who knows. Maybe when they are done fighting they will have their lesbian wedding,,,,YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

That would be an awesome ending
