I first watched the anime in 2018 I liked it then and have recently rediscovered the series after buying the blu-ray. I love it even more now having read every single inch of the LN. The anime is (despite the switching of the events) is very faithful adaptation, especially in of the character dynamics, between the cast and Kanie-kun. The LN excels at making the everyday struggles of a amusement park trying to stay above water funny and engaging. Many characters get a chance to tell their part, the reader learns more about them and (maybe just me) eventually love everyone. There is a ... good mix of heavy plot centering around management stories from the perspective of mostly Kanie-kun, and the light-hearted stories from the absurd cast at the park. I like the contrast between the two and how they intersect when they have to pull together to make people smile.

The art from Nakajima-sensei is great, and gets better as the series progresses. Although not all the art from the color-pages are relevant to the specific story of that volume (I've been baited many times). Still I think there is a good amount of illustrations through-out a volume, it only makes the ridiculous scenarios more amusing.

Pretty much give it a try, (warning the first volume is pretty heavy plot-wise and corresponds with the overall arc of the anime) and let's hope for a continuation of the LN (get well gatou-sensei!!!) in the near future.

Not a bad light novel. Unfortunately, it will probably remain incomplete forever. The story itself is not bad, but it is difficult to keep it interesting. It is definitely a combination of fantasy, comedy, slice of life, and romance (not mainly focus but could be seen in the volume). Also, I had already seen the anime several years ago, so I was waiting for the light novel to finish, but I was late for the announcement so I finally finished reading the incomplete novel.

Story: I'll keep it short. As you might know, our MC, Seiya, is forced to save the amusement park, which is ... full of magical beings such as fairies. The task given to him is a very difficult task. It is to bring a certain amount of people to the amusement park in order for the amusement park to escape from closing down. The story begins interesting, but I feel like the more I read, the more the story begins to lose interest but then the last volume starts to pick it up and it begins to become interesting, but at last no volume after that. However, the novel does a good job of focusing on different characters compared to the anime and adding comedy it made it even better. So, I wouldn't recommend focusing on the story too much but expect funny interaction between characters.

Characters: None of the characters are bad and each one of them has unique skills. For female characters, I like Sento. She is serious about her job but a very likable girl. But the characters I like are the three mascots. Every time they are mentioned, something is bound to make you giggle or laugh. This might be the reason why I still read the novel despite the story lacking.

Overall: In conclusion, it's a funny and sweet-light novel to read. I recommend reading when you have time to spare. Some of you might not like it because of the lack of interest but the comedy is good. My reason for reading isn't a comedy but the relationship between the MC, Sento, and the princess. Still, I enjoy it but most likely, I won't be rereading it.

Amagi Brilliant Park has been on hiatus for 5+ years. So you if wanna read it, do so knowing it might never get an ending.

Story: An amusement park has money problems, and they turn to a random high school student for help. Why a high-schooler?... That's the general story, and it's not that bad. The problem is, with there being magic and creatures that are literally from a "fantasy world", they somehow fail to make any profit while running a Fantasy Theme Park. HOW!? This is a comedy story, do not expect romance, action or even anything interesting to happen.

Characters: *sigh* A Tsundere with ... big tits, a kind loli in a cute white dress, and a perverted Sheep know as Macaron. The "human" characters are all your standard types, nothing to say here. But this fantasy novel series excels at, surprise surprise, fantasy characters. The Sheep Macaron being a good example of how to make funny, adorable, and deeply disturbing mascots that make you laugh till you cry. Unfortunately, most characters are those boring looks-like-humans-but-are-actually-not-human characters. I disliked Full Metal Panic due to bad characters, so Amagi Brilliant Park managed to improve there, even if just a little bit.

Overall, this is a comedy. Don't take the fantasy stuff too seriously, just enjoy the silliness for what it is. There's a lot of management talk, and that is just not something I can connect with comedy. Some people probably will find it entertaining, though. Just not me.

I really liked the Anime, why did I not like the novels? The Anime is so funny due to the voices and animations, and the books are slow and boring. Unfortunately, I shall not continue reading this, unfinished, tale of a failing amusement park. Luckily the anime has a satisfying ending.
