Finalmente termine Tokyo ghoul, que la tenia pendiente hace un tiempo. La verdad es que igual no la termine, por que deja tantos cabos sueltos que la secuela es mas una continuacion directa que una nueva historia de 0 y debe ser leida para entender todo al full. Asì que veremos si la compro o me uno a jack sparrow para terminarla.
En fin. Es alto manga si, muy darks, turbio y con alta historia. Épico. Mi mayor critica creo seria la ya mencionada, termina dejando muchas cosas pendientes y se nota, y es una lastima por que para eso no hubieran seguido con Tokyo Ghoul ... RE y hubieran continuado el mismo, que se yo, me dio paja terminarlo y decir ¿?

The plot of the manga was not that original at all. Basicly, Human-looking monsters, who try to survive secretly in society, are a threat to humans and because of that they are hated and hunted. There were so many characters in the manga, I can't the names of many of the characters. After a certain point, I wasn't sure at first whether the mangaka added a new ghoul investigator character to the manga or we went back to and focused on an already excisting ghoul investigator character who was mostly in the background so far. Of course, this confusion went away when I realized that when the mangaka added a new ghoul investigator character to the story, he showed the ghoul investigator character's name, rank, Quinque (a special weapon used by ghoul investigator while hunting ghouls) technique and the name of the ghoul investigator character's Quinque.

The manga made me read without getting bored due to its abundance of action, otherwise I would not have been able to finish reading all the 144 chapters. I like shonen anyway, I just expected more from a manga that is considered a seinen.

There's not such thing as something that is for everyone and this is just not for me.
The plot does not follow not a clear path and it frequently makes a lot of jumps in focus, introducing new characters until the very last chapter. Because of reading this in an almost weekly manner, many times I lost track of who's who or why some character is behaving in a certain way.
The art is fine, but inconsistent. It sometimes borders on the abstract and I had to look at some pages more than once to understand what was going on.
I got hooked in some story arcs but ... then the story would change focus to a different character which I didn't care about. Then it ends somewhat abruptly, which I guess is the reason for its sequel, but I won't bother with that. Honestly felt mostly like an edgy manga full of teen angst and little substance.
