Even though my review is marked preliminary I wrote it after the manga ended but before MAL updated the status of the manga.

SKK Girls finished this week and I'm sad to see it go. It was a unique manga experience and I enjoyed it immensely. The characters were likable and easy to root for. I liked that the mystery wasn't easily guessable but also progressed in a logical manner that showed the mangaka probably had at least a general plan from the beginning. The ending was good and fit with the vibe of the manga as well. I don't really have any problems or ... quibbles with the material. I kind of wish that it could have gone on longer and fleshed out more of the world, but I also like that the story was concise enough that it remained strong.

If you're looking for a quick and satisfying read, then this might fit the bill. However, if you want to avoid stories that discuss child neglect then you might want to avoid this one.

Cute chibi trio (who seem to not be humans) are in an empty dystopian human world... until it seems like they are not alone.
While most of them are unfortunately very carefree, it seems like one of them is aware of human culture and the lurking monsters.
There are plenty of funny puns and cute moments in each chapter which makes it an easy read.
Usually, you get around 80% cute in each chapter, and then get hit with absolute horror.
This manga gives Made in Abyss vibes (and less Promised Neverland) because the first ... chapter alone sets the stage and vibe well with 90% cute nichijou/slice-of-life energy. The 10% is what gets you hooked.

Whenever you think things are okay, it is not okay lol. I see a lot of potential in this manga and will keep it on high priority for reading.
