I think this one is a must read.

First about the story, While I found these manga to be a bunch of mixed bags cause they mostly bank on reader's sympathy rather than the actual plot, but the reason I recommended reading this one, because this one for sure doesn't slack out on the story department. Despite the story expanding in on only a few plot points, it does so beautifully. The story building was decent, the journey to cure the girl felt realistic to an extent. The medical tag for the manga isn't just for show. It sounds legitimate for some reason, despite the medicines ... being clearly imaginary (I mean there is nothing as mandragora roots and obsidian spider's liver as ingredients for medicine). I don't think you could have had a better story for this premise at this length.

Characters are something forward to look at. I mean they are not top tier, but they are certainly not your average joe. Decent characterisation for the main characters, while I would argue that the side characters were not given much focus, which is valid seeing the length of the manga. It definitely had me rooting for them and for most readers, that is enough of a threshold to enjoy the story.

Now about the art and it definitely is the strongest point of this manga. The art is so beautiful and detailed that its unreal. You are able to see more details the more you zoom in on the pages. The layout is interesting with frequent full page spreads which look beautiful as heck.

And at last about the ending, it was a rushed mess. I don't know what happened, to give consistently good pacing throughout the whole manga only to bottle it at the end. Definitely wasn't impressed with the ending. While the happy conclusion kind of cushioned the brunt of those flaws a bit, but only for a bit.

Not for the light-hearted.

Just by the title alone you already know what kind of story is going to be and really there´s only two types of endings with mangas of this genre, either it ends horribly or really well.

The story/plot is okay for the type of story that it is, since it´s a short story each chapter is only a page long with the exception of the last 5 chapters. Like "DinoNo1" (in the other review) said, the story heavily relies on the readers sympathy, however the lack of story is more than made up with the character development by the two leads. Secondary characters ... are decent but they don´t have much screen time.

In the Art department this manga trully excells. It reminds me a lot of "Berserk" how the MC is ruggedly drawn. Each scenary and character is beautifly drawn, each is so detailed that you even have to zoom in to see the fine detail of like small leaves, birds, etc.

Overall, the manga is a good read, however towards the end the mangaka did rush the story quite a bit, but I´m content with the finale that we got. So far there´s a prequel of how the Elf got captured and tortured, however it´s a Hentai and it´s a lot more graphic than this manga, so read it at your own discretion.
If you are looking for a similar manga take a look at "Eternal Ring" it follows a similar plot, the characters are well written and the art is really good as well. I´ve made a review of the one-shot so if you´d like please check it out.

The story is unique in its own way. the art is stunning But it is a wasted potential.
What I felt like while reading this was just wholesomeness and it definitely worth the time to read it.
If you want a short, well written story this is for you.
But I believe it needed more time. The relation between the characters are good enough but they could have been way more better if the Author had more time expanding the events.
It feels like skipping all side quests and straight up finishing the main quest in a video game.
If I'm reading something and the story skips months in timeline ... right from the beginning, The story wouldn't be as believable as it could have been.

The story telling aspect of this piece is well.... Off.
As I said the pacing isn't pacing.
The chemistry between characters are well thought but they are in complete. There are important characters who would only appear in single page and they would never seen again.
Instead of letting characters build their relationship and bond via dialogs. Its fully filled with monologues carrying every single event.
The guy literally copy pasted the source material (Light novel) in every .
They could have showed us the one in couple of pages and it would have been way more enjoyable.
Main female lead can't speak! Let me see and feel the straggle between them. Let the reader believe the hardship they are dealing with.
She can not see BUT it doesn't feel like it.
I wish this series was at least 130 chapters so that we could enjoy the drama between people.
The idea of this manga and light novel is amazing but the execution is making me furious.
