This manhwa holds a special place in my heart as it was the first one I ever read, and it introduced me to the incredible world of manhwa. It was my gateway into this medium, eventually leading me to explore masterpieces like Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. However, no matter how many I read, this one will always have a special spot for me.

The story felt like a breath of fresh air, standing out from the typical series I was used to. Its unique take captivated me and made every chapter an absolute joy to read. Completing the series took me about a fortnight, but it was ... well worth it. Each chapter was an experience, and the journey through this story was as memorable as it was satisfying.

Most of these pure drama romances are too much for me to bear. I like my romance stories pure and light-hearted. I can take the heavy stuff and even some NTR in light doses, but my heart can't take those generally.

With that said, so far(CH25), this is heavy stuff with the occasional humor. Everything is told through the male protagonist's eyes. This is a relatively young guy who fell in love with a beautiful lady at work, his boss in her mid-30s with a daughter. Our guy's thought process is scattered, confused, and he is completely being drawn to her like a moth to the ... flame. I say "flame" not because she is some sort of evil trap but because his life and thoughts are somehow caught in a whirlpool with her as the center.

Manhwas are usually easier to read because they don't have as much dialogue as mangas, not to mention there is more detail to the art. The same principle holds true here. It's a breeze to read through, but if you're a guy like me and have read through stuff like this, and if you can begin to imagine the situation I've summarized above, and if you identify with our protagonist, the whole story gets your heart beating twice as fast and it gets very uncomfortable and tense. I'm not saying that's necessarily bad.

Overall, so far, this is a recommended read for guys who like the same kind of romance I prefaced at the beginning and are willing to go through an adventurous and tenuous ride.

EDIT:
After getting to chapter 33, I'm completely turned off with the MC. After all the encouragement from everywhere around him, including the girl herself, he chickens out in the worst possible way; by putting out a message like he's ashamed of introducing her to his mom. MC has lost the right to be a wimp a few chapters ago. I can clearly see what's gonna happen here now. Dropping rating and recommendation.

TL;DR: A painfully long, Domestic Girlfriend-style rollercoaster with a meaningless, unjustified ending. The only sad thing about this story is that I will never gonna get back my time that I waisted on reading this.

Do you enjoy slow-burn romances where characters spend the entire story yearning for each other, only to split up in the end for no good reason other than “Wouldn’t it be dramatic?” Then congratulations this story is for you, dear reader!

We’re served a treat here:
A female lead who seems to know exactly what the male lead needs. A male lead who has no idea what he needs. A plot centered ... almost entirely on their interactions... only for none of it to matter in the end.

The writing? Masterful... if by masterful you mean skipping ahead two years just to reveal the male lead married someone who appeared for like two s. 200 IQ move, really. Just one question: Why not write that story instead?

90% of the manga is dedicated to building their "relationship", making the reader ache for progress, but nothing ever happens. The male lead wastes years in a vague, undefined relationship only to get hit with the “you’d be better off without me” ending, not once, not twice, but three freaking times.

What’s wild is that there’s no real reason they aren’t together. No character-driven explanation, no thematic justification, no moral takeaway. It’s as if the author started with the ending and forced a story around it, causality be damned. It’s a hollow, unsatisfying mess that falls apart the moment you try to make sense of it.

Moral of the story: Don’t fall in love with characters written by people who clearly had no idea what they were doing. Just go eat some pancakes or something. Just don’t waste your time on this garbage.
