The absolute audacity for anyone to read any sports or action manga without reading this one first is an absolute travesty. We divide the Manga Community into two groups: Those who know, and those who don't. Those who don't equates to roughly 90% of the population. Those who know are the people who have read this piece of art.

This series is one of Japan's most popular and best selling. This is the country where hit pieces such as One Piece and Chainsaw Man originate. This is a niche thing, and we must bow to the horse king Oguri Cap and acknowledge that her hunger ... knows no bounds. Not even the pages of the book or device are safe.

I have no words to describe the sheer awe of every chapter that I felt as I read. How could a story be so endearing, and gripping, yet so funny at once? I was hungry for more. How hungry? Very hungry.

Uma Musume as a franchise has many many characters. But in Oguri's story, the best of the best are chosen and hand picked. Tamamo Cross, "IMMA SHOW YOU WHITE LIGHTNING", Super Creek, and dare I say, Kitahara Jones. My goodness. You don't get a better lineup than this. I wasn't even that hungry until I saw Obey your Master. How hungry? When I saw one particular page featuring her, my jaw dropped enough that a whole entire banquet fell into it. I was that hungry.

When I heard this masterpiece of an action story was being adapted, my only thought was: Finally. And, Oguri, I'm hungry. How hungry? Hungry for some of the best storytelling that the sports anime world has seen. And no, I'm not being ironic either. Oguri Cap's story is one of triumph, defeat, and pure, unfiltered, savage, determination. I highly recommend anyone to read this compelling and inspiring story of a humble countryside horse racer with a BIG dream work her way to the top. Almost as big as her appetite. Almost.

The story I have no complaints about. The art and pacing are both excellent. It's just a shame updates are slow, but the waits are worthwhile. The perfect mix of drama and humor. Shonenheads, TAKE NOTES. I leave the reader with one final question to ponder upon as I close.

How Hungry?

I decided to write a review since no one has written any yet (excuse me if I commit grammar mistakes, since english is not my native language).

I only saw the 1st season of the anime, but this manga's story takes another point of view in the Uma Musume universe, with new characters, so probably we won't be seeing Special Week or Silence Suzuka anytime soon.

Instead, we have the protagonist, Oguri Cap, as an astounding Uma Musume who performs incredibly well in the races she has participated so far. For the moment, she seems a bit overpowered (someway, the story elaborates a bit about this, so ... it's not like it is something like nakama power or the power of the script), but at the point in the story where I am (chapter 36), maybe there will be equal or more overpowered Uma Musume, so I'm expecting good "battles".

The manga's story is very good, with a heavy spokon focus, so don't get afraid of a story with girls doing things with fan service annoyingly included, because this manga doesn't have lucky sukebe, particular "angles" fan service whatsoever. Instead, it has awesome s with the girl's faces in a state of total concentration and excited for the race. Also, the majority of the backgrounds in the race circuits (which include grass road) are well detailed. Maybe, I'd say this manga is even better than the anime series.

I recommend this manga whether or not you have knowledge of Uma Musume through the anime series or the smartphone game. Furthermore, if you are seacrhing for some spokon manga to read, this is not the masterpiece of all history, but a very good and entertaining manga.

First of all, watching the original show is unnecessary to read this manga, but watching the show does help to give more context to the worldbuilding of the story.

Cinderella Gray focuses on Oguri Cap, a countryside horse girl who will go on to create a legend among her generation. Set before Pretty Derby, there are new characters that are really charming, along with several well-known recurring characters, such as Symboli Rudolf.

When I was reading this, I wasn't expecting to feel the ion that the characters have during their races. You know when you see someone doing their best on something that they love? That's what ... it felt like when Oguri had her showdown with her rivals. When Tamamo Cross entered the zone for the first time and when Super Creek outplayed everyone. The mentor-student relationship between Joe and Oguri in particular is something that really shows the potential that this series has.

The ups and downs of an athlete, the stakes of high-level competition, and the aspirations of everyone competing with each other are really what differentiate Cinderella Gray from other Uma Musume works.

I may not know how to properly write a review, but one thing I do know is that you should read Uma Musume Cinderella Gray, as it is one of the most fun manga that I've read in a long time.
