Damn, I want what they have! It feels like the babies are all grown up and moving. It was bittersweet but I am so happy. I didn't expect to really like the story that much since it started out like a gag for the most part, and it reads just a typical yaoi comedy. But the characters were so fun that it feels like I was part of their circle. It doesn't hurt how cute Yohan and Soowa were, and Gyoon nad Jihye were too adorable as well. Even though I feel like my energy drains every time I read them having sex a lot, ... it doesn't actually feels dirty or too over the top but quite sweet. I love how overly possessive Yohan is to Soowa without going out of bounds. It really shows how much he loves and appreciates him. They truly complement each other. Gaaaah! The story wasn't that grand or something, but it somehow changes you. It was really, really, really, good! <3

This is genuinely such a good story! Something that I often find with BL is that disgusting plot where one character forces something on the other character in order to satisfy their own wants but this has none of that. It's a mutual liking that they take to each other and there's no forcing the other person to do something they're reluctant to do. It's genuinely such a sweet story and they respect each others boundaries. Our two main leads are Kang Soohwa, an unemployed college student who is desperate for a job to pay the bills and Go Yohan, the owner of Cafe Goyo ... who is terrible at making coffee! Yohan ends up giving Soohwa the job and we get to see their daily lives as they grow closer and closer to each other! Yohan is deaf and we also get to see how he became deaf and some of the discrimination he faces as someone who is hearing impaired.

On a final note, this story does have explicit scenes in almost every chapter so if that makes you uncomfortable you definitely might want to steer clear of this one. Keep in mind everything is consensual there isn't a point where it's forced and if there is something one of the characters find uncomfortable they address it immediately :) Oh- and our MC Kang Soohwa isn't one of those characters that are unable to defend themselves! He acts like a normal person when faced with a dangerous situation so there's none of that, "Oh please save me I can't do anything on my own!" BS lol

If a "Green Flag Male Lead" needs a trigger warning, are they really the "Green Flag" they're d to be?

Let me start off by saying this series frustrated and concerned me. I saw several positive reviews and the "green flag" characters and thought, "I'll give it a read!" But I wasn't prepared for the manipulation and SA throughout the series... Without giving away too many spoilers, I will explain what others failed to convey. I had high hopes, but it was really disappointing.

Anything below this contains slight spoilers on the actions of specific characters, but not the overall ... plot.

Starting with the positive: the art, comedy, and plot were good. The premise was promising and I really liked the second couple. But that's about it. It's supposed to be a fluffy, comfy, comedy series, but it's not that at all. It has a good premise, but the execution is awful.

Now, for the negative.

Yohan is not the green flag he is d to be. He never stopped when Soohwa expressed discomfort. Yohan is deliberately ignored Soohwa when he withdraws consent by deliberately turning his head away from Soohwa when Soohwa was telling him to stop, knowing Soohwa wanted to stop. It only got worse as the series goes on. The worst was when Yohan "punished" Soohwa with sex for being blackout drunk... while he was blackout drunk. Soohwa became conscious in the middle of his "punishment" and had to have his "punishment" explained to him. That's not "cute" or "hot," it's R. Yohan using his disability to get away with R/SA is not okay, and it baffles me that he's still considered a "green flag."

This series had so much potential to be good. There could have been a phenomenal dialogue about consent to someone with a disability, drawing boundaries, and communication techniques during intimate moments. But did this happen? No. The author just sprinkled some consent and communication here and there. I read the entire series and I was looking for these conversations, but there was nothing.

The more I think about this series, the lower my score gets. If consent was respected in this series, then my score would probably be 7 or 8 and this review would not exist. But alas, we live in a reality where this series lacks consent.

For those who want to give this series a try, just know that it contains R/SA. Even if you brush it under the rug and ignore it, it's still not okay. It really is a shame that no one is talking about this series with a critical lens. It's all just positive review after positive review.
