Lazarus

The year is 2052—an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity prevails across the globe. The reason for this: mankind has been freed from sickness and pain. Nobel Prize winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner has developed a miracle cure-all drug with no apparent drawbacks called Hapuna. Hapuna soon becomes ubiquitous... and essential. However, soon after Hapuna is officially introduced, Dr. Skinner vanishes.

Three years later, the world has moved on. But Dr. Skinner has returned—this time, as a harbinger of doom. Skinner announces that Hapuna has a short half-life. Everyone who has taken it will die approximately three years later. Death is coming for this sinful world—and coming soon.

As a response to this threat, a special task force of five agents is gathered from across the world to save humanity from Skinner’s plan. This group is called "Lazarus." Can they find Skinner and develop a vaccine before time runs out?

Overall it is a good anime. Enjoyable to watch. but watch it in english dub. i tried watching japanese its not a good a english dub version.

Art style: Good.
Story: Very good. but it slowly gets more interesting. Takes a few episodes before it gets good.
Voice actor: Very good.
Opening and closing song: Okay, I got a bone to pick. for such brilliant anime, the opening song really degraded the whole anime. like, C'mon WHAT IS THAT NOISE!! (I wouldn't even call it a song). The opening artwork was really nice! like a 'cowboy beebop', or 'Read or Die' style opening, and then slap on ... this rubbish of a music, voila~ Rubbish Intro.

Anyway, Good story, good artstyle. Shit intro. Pick english dub.
Worth a watch, but NOT the sort that u would wanna re-watch.

Mixed Feelings

Preliminary (7/13 eps)

If you're coming home tired from work or school and just want to watch something that doesn't demand much attention, Lazarus might be the right pick for you. The art style is visually appealing, with sleek animation and an intriguing futuristic aesthetic, but the storytelling leaves much to be desired.

Even after seven episodes, the plot remains vague. We still know very little about the main characters or the larger conflict unfolding in the world. While the setting looks impressive, it feels underdeveloped and hollow.

Overall, it's the kind of show that's fine to have on in the background during dinner, but if you're looking for something ... with depth or strong narrative hooks, you might walk away disappointed

Preliminary (4/13 eps)

I only watched the first episode and the first few minutes of the second, and two scenes were enough to make me give up. I'm 30 years old and, unfortunately, I no longer have the patience to waste time on mediocre productions. If I'm going to invest my time, at the very least the plot or the characters need to win me over — and in this case, neither did.

The protagonist, who barely appeared for a minute, embodies everything I hate in a character: the slick, cool, forced type. The two scenes that made me make my decision were: his escape from prison — a ... simply awful sequence — and the scene where he wakes up, does a pirouette, and steals the other character's gun almost out of nowhere. For me, that was enough. It didn't convince me, and honestly, there are much better things out there.
