Synopsis

With a new school year comes a new crowd of classmates, and for their final year of junior high, aspiring writer Kotarou Azumi and track team member Akane Mizuno end up in the same class. Though initially complete strangers, a few chance encounters stir an innocent desire within their hearts. A yearning gaze, a fluttering heart—the hallmarks of young love slip into their lives as fate brings their paths to a cross.

However, though love is patient and love is kind, Kotarou and Akane discover it is not always straightforward. Despite the comfort they find in each other's company, heartache and anxiety come hand in hand with pursuing the feelings in their hearts. With the uncertainty of how the other truly feels as well as the competing affections of those around them, the road ahead is unclear. Even so, under the shining light of a beautiful full moon, Kotarou gathers his courage to ask Akane a single question, one that forever changes their quiet relationship.

Straight to the point, a complete anime in 12 episodes, clearly states what it wants to do and proceeds to do it, no bs around it, concise and to the point, I really liked it.

Good animation, good pacing, good backgrounds, really good in general.

A good palate cleanser after a lot of shows that fail to know what to do with their rom shows, just an anime about 2 introverts that are honest to themselves.

The rating perfectly sums up this show, nothing explosive happens but it is also a good all rounder 8/10

Dont forget to see the end credits texts, if they arent translated look for ...

Mixed Feelings
Personal Opinion

I’m totally fine with the shyness of them it’s cute.
But the fact that they just won’t talk to each other is so annoying.

The visuals frustrated me the most. I have no problem with 3D (if it’s done well) but even the extra background characters were moving like mannequins.
Some scenes had characters running with Plain face! Like, what??

I do like the art style though. The character design is super cute and fluffy—totally my thing.
But once you pair that with the animation... it just feels off.

Immersive in Japanese culture. That’s the only notable positive point I found. The story is empty, written in five seconds—a romance as simple as possible, with no interest. Everything that happens in this anime is just predictable and as generic as it gets. It’s a story that happens all the time, every day, so personally, I see no point in following a story I already know. The characters are empty, predictable, and not engaging—nothing more to say.

That being said, there are still some beautiful Japanese landscapes, traditional dances, etc. So, for those who love Japan and enjoy simple stories, you might be able ...
