ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka

ACCA—a national body of the kingdom of Dowa that provides public services to the citizens of the country—was established as part of the peace settlement between the king of Dowa and the 13 states of the country during a revolt. One hundred years later, Dowa is in a period of unprecedented peace, due in part to the ACCA system. However, rumors of a coup d'état start to surface. Jean Otus, the second-in-command of the inspection department of ACCA, is charged with inspecting all 13 state branches. What will he discover as he performs his audit?

I do think I'll forget about ACCA 13 within the following months, probably due to its deficit of spectacle or events in general. Its a rather calming series following a nations ongoing development through the eyes of a national body called ACCA, the meat of the series is political intrigue, the functions of ACCA, royalty and the 13 states, along with a metric fucking tonne of bread and cake.
There is an overlying story presented in the series but its almost never presented as urgent or imminent, its generally an easy going drive down a swerving road with surprises aplenty to keep you seated. Even ... though I'll probably forget this, from where I stand now I can say this was an enjoyable ride.
Bring a snack, it WILL make you hungry.

The MC is some sort of genius but it's inexplicable how everything just falls into place for him. It's extremely monotonous and boring and will only be liked by those who crave the 'shy and unremarkable guy is actually amazing' wish fulfillment fantasy. For everybody else, this is a massive waste of time. Art style is okay I guess. I don't understand why this is classified as Seinen, this is made for teens at best. I also forgot every single character due to how unremarkable and boring they were. I find nothing interesting. This has no thriller elements, no mystery, nothing, it's just a bland ... power fantasy.
