Can't blame Kudo for having his mood killed immediately by that French toast memory but bro's at Yaomay's mercy if she ever finds out lol
@FarCritical he kinda set himself up for it, knowing she wouldn't have the same memories as the original, but I also get that he wouldn't be able to predict just how much it would affect him to come face to face with that reality. I love shows like these, it's just a sad situation for both of them, and neither is to blame. |

I don't get the food thing.
Yaomei and Kudo are both real people who have been living within and subsisting off Kowloon's food for months if not years in Kudo's case. One did so without knowing Kowloon was fake, the other did so knowing perfectly well that it was fake. And neither have shown any adverse effects from the food here until this very moment when Yaomei selectively forgot that it always being Summer in Kowloon was an oddity. I really, REALLY, don't think the food was the issue here. And if it was, that's kind of just too convenient in my opinion.

@FateHero I think the food might make you forget what happened in the outside world in general, and become more a part of the fake Kowloon. I think Kudo doesn't mind this because he wants to stay connected to the life he had there, and in Yaomei's case it allows her to escape her past. Edit: So basically ingesting the fake world makes you a part of the fake world. I think that makes perfect sense tbh. The things you eat and drink and breathe, is what your physical self is made of after all. |

Really interesting episode
I loved the world building and the ever expanding lore of Kowloon.

Mari_Marx said: I'm starting to get the sense that the Xiaohei we've been seeing up to this point is basically how he used to look/dress before he "grew up" (or was forced to transition?) outside of Kowloon. So...are Kujirai B's memories imprinted onto those glasses...? it was him in the past which is the one we have been seeing till now |

As soon as Yaomay drank her ice coffee she forgot all the knowledge she had about Kowloon. Green haired guy noticed that too. I feel bad for Kudo. He was hoping Reiko would the French toast recipe 😭 a lot of people are after Reiko. Is Xiaohei the same person??? |

Is there really something in Kowloon's food? I thought Yaomei was just acting like that because she now is able to hear the cicadas. Too much of his memories with Kujirai B make Kudou uncomfortable especially as we see the flashback with the french toast. What does Yulong mean about killing Reiko? I'm guessing they want to try to force her outside of Kowloon to see if she would disappear. |

Did Yaomei seriously forget her research from outside of Kowloon because of the iced coffee? Then she re everything at the end. What is up with Kowloons food is it really that messed up lol |

Yulong is out to get Reiko for sure but I don't think Xiaohei is completely in on his plan. I wonder what happens if Xiaohei were to confront his past self it's clear they can both exist alongside each other in Kowloon. |

Kudou is still haunted by his past with the original Kujirai Reiko, and the memories of the french toast and eggs cause him to run away. Is the food in Kowloon really a trigger? Gwen has not been eating any of the food there but Yaomei and Kudou clearly have |

Damn Miyuki juking out Gwen really shows that he is deadset on accomplishing his goals (getting back at his father with a revival of his former dead son). Now Yulong why does he want to kill Reiko? Does he have something against the former Reiko or does he just want to test the Kowloon simulation? |

Oh how I hate Kudo. He is garbage of the most pure variety. The narcissism and emotional abuse makes me fume at the mouth. I will leave these grievances to be voiced by Danny Devito, bless his soul. |

Is Yulong cooking something? Why in the world would he want Reiko dead. Every episode feels like it ends on a cliffhanger that ends up not mattering much in the next episode... |

Yaomay forgets what happened in Hong Kong once she returned to Kowloon and consumed food there. Meanwhile a young man named Xiaohei appears and is seem to be in the pockets of the Old Man Hebinuma. |

Kudou is actually so cruel and horrible. First of all, bro, let the dead rest, second of all, stop trynna impose on Kujirai A to act like the deceased Kujirai B, they are not the same and that's so painfully obvious!! Stop forcing shit!! Why does he keep hurting himself and everyone else around him with this denial delulu bullshit!!!!? Probably because that's the plot of the entire anime/manga lmao. Eh, i shouldn't have started this, but now i gotta see it through... Redeeming factor about Kudou: same VA as Gintoki and... yeah, that's it LMAO |

Gwen desperately trying to warn Miyuki about not eating on Kowloon... wasn't Miyuki that warned him to avoid food there in the first place? ^^' althought, didn't seems like they were aware of what could happen if you do eat there, back when was first said... but it's reasonable enough to avoid food of fantasy non-existing places, XD (I think it ties to japanese folclore... I hear about this idea of avoid food in places that are not of our world in others animes... like Spirited Away, or Kyoukai no Rinne) |

It's clear as day that Kujirai B's memories are well and intact, and are living rent-free in his mind, though the semblance of seeing her through the current Reiko, is just as nuanced that he's keeping cherishable memories with the new Generic. Reiko being overjoyed of her intimate time together with Hajime, while Yaomei learns the distraught truth beforehand from her time in Hong Kong and coming back to Gene Terra's Kowloon, and yet still believes as if it were true. That at least provides some relief to Gwen, though Yulong on the other hand, is just getting touch and base with what exists within the Gene Terra-made Kowloon that constantly swallows people. And as if Miyuki hasn't known the truth already that Hajime is real, he could very well have a chance at revenge, but holds his ground for another day. From the perspective of the ladies, Xiaohei is quite the intriguing character who shows his feminine side, though his secret mission to spy on Reiko and see what makes her different from Kujirai B. And seemingly so, between the real and the Generic replica, they're both the same person, but existing within different times, only that the Generic will lose all semblance once taken out of the illusioned Kowloon, thereby giving the resource to make Zirconians. It's the same story betweeen Miyuki and Yulong, where the former is getting too attached to the Kowloon he's seeing, and the latter wanting to carve out his own path that's separate from the Hebinuma family. Yelp, Hajime's relationship with the Generic Reiko feeling distant otherwise, Yulong wanting Xiaohei to his side and eliminate the Generic Reiko, the hitlist on the fake replica is ever all the more important, yet concerning given how many people are targeting her now. The most important key in this experiment, survivability is not guaranteed...? |

Yaomay forgetting about her hong kong trip after drinking the iced coffee is wild. I guess Gwen made the right decision to not eat the food in Kowloon. Kudo walked into that heartache by asking Reiko to make french toast. He so badly misses Kujirai B, and she isn't her. Yulong asking Xiaohei to kill Reiko is quite the curious cliffhanger. I sure hope he doesn't take the offer. I have a theory that this fake kowloon would lose a lot of meaning with Reiko gone. I know it would to the real people in the city at the very least. |
