| Just wondering how a show manages to stay afloat that long. Even One Piece can''t beat it. Has anyone seen this show? I'm curious as to why it's still popular. Voice actors and animation quality probably changed over the decades as well. Has anyone here dared to watch an episode of it? Perhaps there is someone here crazy enough to have seen the whole thing, lol. Even if the episodes are short, it's still quite a lot, maybe 2500 normal episodes. |

They must be making profit somehow. The anime serves as an ad for the manga, maybe? Idk Or the anime doesn't take much money to animate |
| Sazae-san makes profit from ratings alone. As for why it's been on for nearly 50 years, it's an intergenerational anime (almost everyone in Japan with a TV has watched at least 1 episode if not grown up with it) not to mention it's one of the few anime that's socially acceptable to watch by adults in Japan. |
